The Albums Behind Our Designs
Three albums and a handful of EPs: that's the Glassjaw catalogue so far. Here's each record, and where you'll find it in the shop.
Where did the records start?
Before the first album there was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, an EP we recorded in 1997.
What was our first album?
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence came out on May 9, 2000, on Roadrunner Records. It's the record with "Siberian Kiss" on it. One of our designs spells the full title out in heavy block letters, stacked over four lines, with a row of small marks and NY underneath.
What came next?
Worship and Tribute followed in 2002 on Warner Bros., with songs like "Ape Dos Mil" and "Tip Your Bartender".
What about the EPs?
- El Mark (2005): B-sides
- Our Color Green (The Singles) (2011)
- Coloring Book (2011)
When did the third album arrive?
Material Control came out on December 1, 2017, on Century Media. It was our first full-length since 2002.
Which designs go with which era?
- The debut, in type: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence, written out in full.
- The stencil wordmark: a rough yellow GLASSJAW in stencil letters, the number 00167 and a black face beside it.
- Golgotha: a skeleton in a bucket hat, walking across giant gj3 letters, with GOLGOTHA underneath.
- The small marks: Aml, NY and 1993, our founding year, on the smaller designs.
How do I pick one?
Start with the album you play most. Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies.
